Red Phone Booth Goes Pink
Red Phone Booth joins the October fight against breast cancer
ATLANTA, GEORGIA (October 1, 2021)–– The iconic London-style phone booth is “going pink” in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Red Phone Booth is pulling out all the stops, with a goal to donate $10,000 to Atlanta-based organizations with a mission of breast cancer research and awareness.
Red Phone Booth is partnering with Andrew London of Atlanta-based Full Coverage Painting and Flooring to transform the notably red phone booth into pink for the month of October. London, whose grandmother lost her battle to breast cancer in 1999, is donating his services to Red Phone Booth’s Atlanta and Buckhead location to show his support.
“Breast cancer awareness has always held a special place in my heart. The opportunity to support this cause provides a way to stay connected with my grandmother,” states London.
Red Phone Booth’s support of breast cancer awareness month goes beyond the phone booth. Once inside, members will find bartenders donned with pink vests and ribbons, serving up the limited edition pink cocktail, Brockmans Hope, $15. Made with Brockmans Gin, crème de framboise, an egg white, Luxardo cherry wine, lime juice and garnished with the notable pink ribbon, the fundraising beverage is available through October 31. A portion of the cocktail’s proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research and awareness organizations, including the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink program and The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation, supporting low-income cancer patients through Grady hospital. In addition, Red Phone Booth will be hosting fundraiser events throughout the month to help reach their $10,000 goal.
Why pink? One in every eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. In 2021, it is estimated that approximately 30% of all female cancer diagnoses will be breast cancer. Red Phone Booth is joining the fight against breast cancer in hopes of one day reducing the impact of this disease.
Red Phone Booth is located in Atlanta, GA, Buckhead and Downtown, and Nashville, TN. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight. More information is available online at www.pinkphonebooth.com.
