ATLANTA, GEORGIA (October 13, 2020)—Rock Steady, the modern, Caribbean-inspired restaurant and bar located in the heart of West Midtown in Atlanta, is back and better than before after temporarily closing its doors (due to the impact of COVID-19), earlier this year.
Thursday’s reopening will reveal the expansion of the alluring, upscale establishment with its relaxed and casual vibe, to ensure safe, socially distanced dining for everyone, as well as the launch of Sunday brunch and new tantalizing culinary and cocktail offerings. Diners looking to discover the reimagined space, dishes, and drinks of the restaurant located at (907 Marietta Street NW) are required to make reservations in advance and must wear masks upon entry to celebrate safely.

Cool Caribbean Flair
Since its initial opening in Fall 2019, Rock Steady continues to set a precedent for an elevated, unique dining experience in a chic setting. There are several exciting changes to note with its return, including the introduction of a second-floor lounge area featuring hand-painted walls, relaxed seating, and a small plates menu. The stylish space is also the new site for Sunday Brunch, special events and private bookings.
Set to become a weekend must-do in Atlanta, the Rock Steady Sunday Brunch features an innovative menu featuring bold, vibrant Afro-Caribbean flavors. Savory selections include Waffle Battered Lollipop Wings with Jerk wings, habanero curry caramel, and fruit salad, Oxtail Hash and Eggs, and Buttermilk Cornbread Crab Cakes with spicy mango remoulade. As for dessert, Coconut Passionfruit Cheesecake and Rum Cake end meals on a sweet note. The brunch menu ranges from $12-$24.
When it comes to drinks, the Rock Steady Bar Team led by Bar Manager Breon Reynolds and Lead Bartender Kiara Tarver, oversees the creative bar and cocktail program. New to the menu and available for Sunday Brunch and dinner is Mr. Killa, a signature cocktail named after the popular, electrifying dancer from Grenada. Like its namesake, Mr. Killa, a combination of rums with house-made habanero tamarind habanero curry syrup, grapefruit, and pineapple juice an electrifying impression, with the drink set aflame during the presentation, $25.
At Rock Steady, music plays an intimate part of the immersive and sensory dining experience. With the reopening comes a compelling compilation of top DJ sets from across the country reflecting styles spanning the African diaspora—reggae, dancehall, Afrobeats and Kompas, among other genres.
Rock Steady is open Thursday 5 pm-12 pm, Friday-Saturday 5 pm-2 am, Sunday 12 pm-6 pm (Brunch), and is closed on Monday-Wednesday. Reservations are required and limited. Table bookings are available now on RESY.
